The Czech-Danish-Polish trio was established at the beginning of 2013 in Berlin. The main idea behind the group was to create a possibility to swiftly move in between various music styles. The core of their repertoire are leader`s own compositions, which oscillate between jazz and classical music. This interesting sound, mixed with a few standards and a bit of film music, gives the audience an unusual range of musical variety. The musicians are learning their skills from the greatest of jazz world (Greg Cohen, John Hollenbeck, Kurt Rosenwinkel ) in Jazz Institute Berlin.


Mikołaj Gruszecki - pianist and composer; he studied at Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and is currently a student at Jazz Institute in Berlin where he is learning from great musicians such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Greg Cohen or John Hollenbeck. He was a finalist of various festivals (Jazz na Odrą, RCK pro jazz) and has played with Urszula Dudziak, Lora Szafran, Janusz Szrom, Essien Okon Essiet(Jazzmessengers). Currently he is performing all around Europe and cooperating with jazz society in Berlin. His skills have been improved during many courses with Gonzalo Rubalcaby, Kirk Lightsey, Richi Beirach, Dave Liebman and many others. As a leader of his trio, Mikołaj Gruszecki took also part in prestigious ChilEuropa Festival in Santiago de Chile.


Martin Novak - drummer born in Ostrava, one of the most admired drummers in the Czech Republic, performing throughout Europe. In 2002 he became a member of Roman Pokorný Trio (CD “2 faces”, Arta Records 2004). He also plays in various other bands (Blues Box Heroes, Yvonne Sanchez & Brazilian Mood and Najponk Trio) and collaborates with David Dorůžka Trio, Beata Hlavenková Trio, Infinite Quintet (CD Speak Slowly, Animal Music 2009), Jan Kořínek & Groove (CD Groovin’ For Little V, Hardbop Records 2008), Lenka Dusilová, Ondřej Pivec, Jaromír Honzák, Osian Roberts, Nick Etwell, Adam Tvrdý, Matěj Benko, Libor Šmoldas and others. He has performed with many well-known artists, such as Rich Perry, Steve Fishwick, Sam Sadigursky, Bob Montgomery, Rosťa Fraš, Ondřej Štveráček, Miriam Bayle.


Martin Buhl - double-bassist born in Denmark, currently living in Berlin. Since 2012 he been taught by one of the best jazz bassist alive – Greg Cohen. Martin Buhl takes part in various European music projects (Tomasz Licak/Radek Wośko Quartet, Entropy, Mikołaj Gruszecki Trio) and has performed with top Scandinavian jazz musicians (Tomas Franck, Jesper Løvdal, Jakob Dinesen, Carl Winther, Ben Besiakov, Niclas Campagnol). Together with Licak/Wośko Quartet he won the first prize at the 49th Jazz nad Odrą Festival.
