The leader had studied in USA at the Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. In 2008 he also finished Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. During his studies in the USA he had cooperated with Kruziki Transatlantica group, which had been claimed the best student jazz group in 2004 by the prestigious magazine Down Beat. In 2008 Pawlik was awarded at the Jazz nad Odrą Festival as the Jazz Individuality. Pawlik has also performed twice with Branford Marsalis

Łukasz Pawlik Project is based on the sound of the 80s and 90s enriched by modern electronic possibilities. In their multilevel music arrangements you can find both complex compositional forms and spontaneous jazz improvisation. Everything is set in a fusion of different musical worlds, which merge into one, quite unpredictable, mixture. Rich instrumentation, intense loops are the ways of showing individual music personality of the outstanding soloists: Cezary Konrad, Paweł Pańta, Dawid Główczewski. The essence of the Project is the piano sound of Łukasz Pawlik, who plays both the acoustic piano and electronic keyboard instruments.
