"Old fashioned mood" is the newest, debut album of Paweł Palcowski's trumpeter quintet. Paweł Palcowski Quintet is a band presenting music referring to the 50's and 60's in jazz.
The album "Old Fashioned Mood" reached number one on the DiskUnion store in Tokyo, Japan, and is successfully sold there on CDs and vinyl. In the summary of 2019, Adam Dobrzyński placed Paweł Palcowski in 1st place in the Polish Jazz Debut of the Year category, and in the Polish Jazz Album of the Year category, the album "Old Fashioned Mood" was ranked 9th.
But since Jazz in Ruins 2020 and the Premiere, we are going a step further and invite you to a special project with the participation of a special guest. It will be Maciej Sikała. Maciej Sikała was and is one of the greatest authorities in the field of instrumentalism and jazz composition in Poland. His experience and great playing technique will enrich the brass section with harmony straight from Art Blakey's Jazz Massengers and will allow the music to go into a new, previously unknown area.
